First Winston Fly rods!  (United States)

I got my BIIx 4wt last week and was worried about not getting my BII-MX 8wt before the season started.  Well now I don't have to worry anymore!  I sold all my rods from last year and only had my Scott S3 5wt left....whewww.

Winstons rods just have soul, maybe much has to do with their long history, but it also about their attention to detail and quality of their rods.  I'm definately sold on Winston,  but don't get me wrong, my Scott's still rock!  The BII-mx just feels light for the weight that is listed on the blank.  I've had the 4wt out a couple of times and I know that will be a fun little trout/panfish stick to play with.  My son should have a blast catching gills with it and so will I   This rods is as smooth as butter in the 30 to 50 foot range, perfect for small stream trout fishing.

I'll be using my BII-MX mainly for big pike, musky and bass this season.  I'll be posting more reviews about this rod as the season progresses.  I can already tell by just holding it that it's going to be a popular rod.  Finally a Winston rod worthy of fast action, like it.
