I am super excited to be heading back to my old stomping grounds, the mighty basswood lake, to chase bass and pike on the fly. I am a new convert to the warmwater flyshing covenent (thank you John). So it will be interesting to see what kind of damage I can do now as opposed to when we would have 100 plus fish days (avg 3-5 #) with spining gear. I will post pics and report upon return........
Wow!! what a trip.... 100+ smallies 18-22 in average granted the spin guys on the trip took care of most of that. But I had some awsome action on the black "Oscar"( ask john). The fish were in five to 7 foot gravel and boulder bars. they were ultra teritorial. any thing would get within 5 feet of them and they would hammer it. 11 -12 in blue gill were also plentifull. hope to pos some pics. soon
